Hello and Welcome once again to TEACHER AND FRIENDS SA. In my previous BLOG I wrote all about the 'big, 'fat', 'jumbo', 'beginner', 'bigness' PENCIL! In this post, I am going to show you how to hold a pencil correctly and give you some examples of activities that you could do with your little one.

Please watch the video below on how to hold a pencil correctly.
Here are some examples of activities that you could do with your little one.
Your little one could use tracing strips as shown in the video; trace letters, numbers or even shapes; as well as make pretty cards and practice writing their name on writing material. Make sure to draw two solid lines (one on top and the other on the bottom) and a broken line in the middle (as shown in the writing paper below).
With writing comes reading. So write simple words and allow your little one to copy (as shown in the picture below) and say the word out loud. You could also draw a picture to show the meaning of the word.

Note to Remember:
Practice, practice and practice!
If you would like to purchase MY FIRST MEMORY WORKBOOK, Please send me a message. It has tracing, writing, colouring activities and so much more!
